Hi I'm Jonathan Tingey

I am, 19, a missionary, an Eagle Scout, Spanish speaker, mountain biker, rock climber, out doors lover, and I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

About me? What a diverse question, so many ways one could describe me, let me see If I can put this simple enough that whoever is reading this right now will finish reading it all! My name is Jonathan Tingey, I am 19 years old, I am currently serving a mission for the LDS church in Raleigh North Carolina, Spanish speaking. I come from a family of 8, (6 kids (five boys, one girl), Father, mother, 2 dogs and a cat) I being the 4th oldest. I was born I Logan Utah and Lived 7 years in Woodruff/Randolf Utah until moving to a small town of Florence Colorado. There I was baptized at 8 and grew up in the church, now you must know that just because I grew up in the church does not mean that I always had a testimony of the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I like all others had to come about the knowledge of the truth for myself through scripture study and Prayer. But through Hard work I have come to the Knowledge that The LDS Church is truly God's church Today! I have found it out and so can everyone else!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints because I have truly felt of the truthfulness of the church, and I have developed a testimony in my God our Eternal Father and in His Son Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World, that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God in the time of the restoration,That Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet called of God to lead and guide us in these latter days. I know with all surety that The Book of Mormon is the most true book on the face of the earth, I have read and prayed about it and it truly is a book from God, for no man could have written it. I WOULD NOT be on a mission if this church was not really Gods church in these Latter-Days. "I am a Mormon, I know it, I live it, I love it."

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith?..... I live my faith by being the best I can with nothing wavering. As of now I am living my faith by serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, I left my family for such a short time as 2 years, So that I may bring the Restored Gospel to others throughout the state of North Carolina in the Spanish language, so that others can have their families for all time and eternity. I am always striving to be the best example for my family, Friends and all others who are around me. I Love to serve the Lord my God in all my endeavors, I am trying to be like Jesus by following in his way. Although it can be rough at times if you trust in the lord you will always have a hand to guide you back. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
