Hi I'm Victor Hall

Grew up Mormon. Spent years in disbelief. Reconciled. Happy with decision. Service opportunities I've chosen brought happiness.

About Me

Retired Elem. principal, Clk Co. NV. Enjoy challenge of writing whether ghost writing, bios, local history--- anything. Enjoy photography; was happy to trade darkroom for Photoshop. Have enjoyed wide reading: poetry, history, geography, culture, science etc. Too old to travel. Enjoy hiking, look forward to grandchildren visits, hikes. Enjoy puttering; making videos. Stuck with independent thinking concerning politics as well as religion.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon and heard preposterous claims concerning proving religious beliefs scientifically. Questioning while in college led to rejecting all religious claims including belief in God. Later accepted "things of the spirit are known by the spirit". Accepting LDS principles, practices is good for my life. I've no further interest in legal or scientific-type proofs or dis-proofs.

How I live my faith

I've avoided embracing callings particularly that involved administrative or leadership duties but enthusiastically take on task such as coordinating stake-wide fruit farm work.I particularly enjoy doing necessary things for anyone who is trying to lead a good productive life in spite of obstacles, infirmities etc. I think I get more credit and am held in higher esteem than I particularly deserve, but I'm not complaining. One of the perks for serving other Mormons is that it's something you wind up just enjoying doing. My church attendance is pretty good but I don't hesitate miss a meeting or two if company comes, or if I know it will be too boring.
