Hi I'm Bethany

I'm a wife and mother of two teens. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife. I've been happily married to my best friend for almost 16 years. I'm a mother.I homeschooled my two children through elementary school. I love music. I listen to everything from classical and opera to hip hop and rock. I love animals. I have two adorable rats, and we recently adopted a dog from a local animal shelter. I'm a bit of a geek. I get a real kick out of new technologies, especially when you can see that they were inspired by earlier works of science fiction.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was only four years old. I don't remember much of my life before that time, but I do remember that when my parents began to live the teachings of the Church in our home, things got better. As a child, I was so thrilled with how my family's and my life had improved that I wanted to share it with everyone. That feeling has never left me, I guess that's why I made this profile. From that young age, I learned that I have a loving Heavenly Father who wants what is best for me. He hears me when I pray, and that knowledge gives me great peace. I've also learned that God has a plan for all of us. As I have come to understand our Heavenly Father's plan, I have found it easier to deal with life's challenges. No, my life's not perfect, but it has a clear purpose and I live it with a concrete goal in mind: to return to live with my Father in Heaven one day.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to participate in different capacities at Church. I have learned and grown to be a better person though these experiences. Currently, I lead a daily scripture study program for the teens in my branch. I also play the piano for our Sunday meetings. It's a real privilege to be able to share the talents I have with others in a way that helps them feel uplifted afterward.
