Hi I'm Ryan Glenn Stewart

Born in Arizona, Grown in Iowa, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For the past year I was a student studying Business Management with an emphasis in finance at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am an athlete and love to play any kind of sport, especially football, frisbee, and volleyball. I love to try something new, facing my fears and challenging myself in new ways every single day. I try to be outgoing but sometimes enjoy just listening in. I am a missionary, and will be serving the wonderful people of the Chile Santiago West Mission very soon!

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the covenant (in the church) it seems obvious why I am a Mormon. Yet this is not why I am a Mormon, if i didn't believe the things that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes in I would not be here today. I know that this Church is true simply because I have searched the scriptures, gone to church, prayed, and then pondered the things which I have been taught. They are without doubt in my mind true. I remember many times in my life where reading my scriptures or sitting in church I have had such a powerful witness overcome me confirming the things which I am listening to are true, that there is no way that I can deny that the church is true. I am a Mormon because of the blessings that this wonderful gospel brings into my life, I have seen it bless the very way that I live my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and everyday I am on this Earth. I live my faith by trying to be an example to all those that I encounter in my life. I attempt to read my scriptures and pray daily, yet sadly I am not perfect and slacken off sometimes. In college I worked as a teacher, teaching doctrine and helping others feel the spirit. Although I was only 19 years old and at time felt that I was inadequate for this responsibility I felt that this calling was what I was suppose to do. I felt that I learned so much out of teaching others. In the upcoming months I will show how I live my faith by giving up all that I have and going on a service mission to Chile for two years. I will give up almost all communication with the society and the outside world and will dedicate two years to my Father in Heaven serving him daily and by sharing the wonderful message of the gospel with the Chilean people.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Ryan Glenn Stewart
The question of knowing whether or not the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true is something that even members deal with at times. Many people on this Earth believe in God even if they do not know which church is true, then we need to build a basis off of this. Our Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us here on Earth not matter what we have done. He wants all of his children to return to him once again, and this is possible through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can know that this is how, and know that this Church is true by simply asking our loving Father in Heaven if it is true or not. But we cannot just ask and expect an answer right away, we must continue to work to discover that it is true, for it is only after the trial of our own faith that we will receive a witness of the truthfulness. What is faith?

Ryan Glenn Stewart
I believe that faith is truly a very easy thing. There is a scripture that i love, in Proverbs 3:5-6 that helps us understand what is faith and in reality why we should have faith. It says Trust in the Lord with all your heart, Lean not unto your own understandings, In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. I believe faith is that easy, trusting in someone that is all-knowing and all powerful even Jesus Christ. Not looking on what we think is right, and if we do this we are going to recieve amazing amounts of blessings and have our paths directed. We are going to know what we need to do to return to Chirst and the Father and to have eternal life. The idea of not looking on our own ideas or understanding is truly a tough one. We are all humans or mortals and when we think we are right we know we are right, and it is tough for us to look at any other idea. THis has been something especially hard in my life. Yet when we don't worry about what we think and we put all of our trust in the Lord. We are going to be blessed. When we have the attitude of not my will but Thine, we can truly say that we have faith. Show more Show less
