Hi I'm Susan

I've lived on an island for most of my life. I like Korean dramas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 14, mother of 8, grandmother of 3, mother-in-law to 4, aunt to 54, wife of 1 =), daughter of God. I love good stories--in a variety of mediums. I think the answer to world peace is to require everyone to spend an hour a week on the beach. I love good vanilla ice cream, oatmeal cookies with apples and candy corn. I am grateful for the multitude of blessings I have.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because living the gospel makes me happy. I like answers to my questions and the gospel provides those. Knowing that my family will be with me forever is a great comfort. Life isn't always easy but it is always good. I know that Joseph Smith saw and spoke to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know from personal experience that God answers our prayers, that I can receive personal inspiration and direction. I know that Thomas S Monson is a true and living prophet. I know that Christ is our Savior, that he died for us and that through the Atonement we can all be saved. I know that I have been given my agency to choose my own path. I choose to live the gospel. I bear you this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Living as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means that you learn and grow for your entire life. I have served with the children, the youth, the women and the membership as a whole. I became a better piano player, learned to sing, how to organize events--large and small, how to work with committees, all types of personalities. I've learned cooking tips, sewing and craft tips, gardening, food storage, accounting and budgeting tips, help with finding jobs, writing resumes and the list goes on and on. As a volunteer in our local schools and in my community church activity and the skills I've learned through service have been invaluable in everything I do.
