Hi I'm Oliver Dahl

I am a published novelist, a photographer, a pianist, and the oldest of five children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19, and a multi-published author. I enjoy photography, piano, Mexican food, thrift shopping, and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born into the church, I didn't always have a very strong belief in it. Especially during high school, I questioned a lot of it, and found myself pretty unhappy. Eventually I was faced with a choice: I could either keep doing what I was doing, or I could change and return to the truths that I'd been taught in the gospel. Even though this proved to be an extremely difficult choice for me, holding to what I knew was right brought me peace and joy, and I felt more complete without the things I thought I'd be missing out on. As I felt painful guilt and remorse for my own mistakes, thinking of my Savior Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for me immediately filled me with peace and made those feelings go away. I felt and testify of His love for each one of us. This love is made manifest through the atonement, through the commandments, and by living prophets today.

How I live my faith

I'm called as the "Gospel Principles" teacher, which means that each week I prepare and give a short lesson on the basic elements of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
