Hi I'm Kevin Mudrow

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the simpler things in life. My greatest joys is being a husband, a father, and having an understanding and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some of my hobbies consist of basketball, racquetball, volleyball, golf, camping, hiking, and traveling to the coast. I believe in many ways I've considered myself an under achiever, because I often got distracted in my life with so many things. In high school I did enough to get through with ok grades, but was always a hard worker, which I was taught by the example of my father. I've been blessed with being able to work and have a job since being a 5th grader, which I strongly attribute to paying tithing. I feel one of the great turning points in my life was while serving a mission in Kentucky. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do for a career in my life until the last 2 weeks of serving in the mission field full time. The Lord tends to do that often in my life, by having me hang on right up until the end, to receive answers to my prayers which I am grateful for. The Lord has never let me down. I knew my goal to become a dentist was going to be an up hill battle, but if the Lord told me this is what I could do to provide for my family, then I knew I could accomplish it (Nephi 3:7).

Why I am a Mormon

I truly love life and am so greatful for the love and patience of wonderful earthly parents as well as a loving Heavenly Father. I am humbled by the the trials I have gone through in helping me be the man I am today. I have found comfort and peace in the Atonement of my Savior Jesus Christ, and that I am able to repent of my sins. I have been blessed to grow up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, but conversion is a process that every person most go through, and it wasn't until I spent many sincere hours praying to know that the church was true, that I received my answers. My conversion in the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been an on going process. My testimony continues to grow day by day. I find that just like when I stop exercising my body, my muscles become weaker, when I stop reading my scriptures or pray fervently my testimony weakens.

How I live my faith

I know that we live in challenging times with many uncertainties. I find that the scriptures are filled with amazing stories that teach us how to live and not to live our lives, for our success and happiness. I love that I can live in the world and not have to be part of the world, and having an understanding of the gospel provides an anchor to my soul. I find I am happiest in my life when I am in the service of others. I currently serve within our church by helping to strengthen the men by teaching lessons and entering their homes encouraging them to be good fathers and husbands. Encouraging these men to take responsibility by having family and personal prayers is some of the simplest but powerful ways to not only strengthen homes, but also communities.
