Hi I'm Jolene Washburn Dille

I love photographing my kids, playing volleyball with my husband and throwing summer BBQ's with my friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Portland, OR but didn't stay there long! My family has always been on the move. My elementary years were spent in Vancoucer (WA), Ontario (Canada), Gorham (NH), and Bangor (ME). When I grew into a teenager we headed south and I enjoyed Meridian (MS), before Green Bay (WI), and finally I graduated high school in Fort Gibson (OK)! After high school I spent some time going to school at both BYU in Idaho and Utah and loved them both. I met my sweetheart Jace Dille through a cousin and we were married in the Twin Falls Temple in 2008. We now live in Victoria, Tx with our two small children and we're loving every minute of it! Jefferson in 2 1/2 and our little Josie is just over a year. Our little man is a bug-a-holic and a champion hider, while Josie is constantly into mommies jewelry and makeup already. I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing than being a mommy to my two little pals and hanging out with my best friend Jacer Bud. We love golfing and going to the beach, but best of all we love going home to Idaho where both our extended families live. Family and faith are what make our lives full, hilarious, and happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been proven time and time again that the principles and the doctrine of the LDS church are true. I wouldn't live it just because my parents did or because I had a million friends that did (which I definitely don't), because sometimes it's not an easy doctrine to live by. I live it because I KNOW its true; not just through prayer and scripture study, but also from the happiness that it brings into my life even when the goings are tough and life isn't as easy as you'd want it to be. I am a Mormon because of the person it makes me strive to be, as an individual, a mother, a friend, and a wife. But most importantly, I am a Mormon because of the devotion of the gospel to the life and teachings of my savior Jesus Christ and the close relationship I feel with Him when I am living the gospel. I love being a Mormon and I wouldn't trade being a Mormon for anything else in the world, and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith, by teaching the youth in our ward. Every Sunday I prepare a lesson for the youth ages 16 & 17 and we talk about whatever particular scripture we are studying for the year (this year we are studying the Book of Mormon). I am also a visiting teacher. I visit a few sisters in my ward and share a message with them once a month and try to see if there is anything I can do to help them and their families. I love the chance to get to know the youth and work with them. Me and my family also love volunteering at our local food bank. It is such a good work, and even my son is able to help us in organizing and packaging food. Day to day, I try to live my life by being as Christ-like as I can (which of course sometimes I fail at); by praying and reading the scriptures both by myself and with my husband and children. We all attend church on Sundays and we try to be good neighbors, friends, and members of our community.
