Hi I'm Kimberlee

I love to dance. I am a wife, mum, daughter, sister, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Scotland and grew up in a family of eight children. It was fun! I have been married to my amazing husband, Tyler, for less than two years. At the start of this year we had our first child - a beautiful baby girl. Since being married we have lived in Mexicali (Mexico), Baltimore, Jacksonville and we will soon be moving to San Diego.... Luckily one of my favourite things to do is travel and experience different cultures. I studied psychology at university and have since worked with young people that come from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have found this to be both challenging and equally rewarding. Dancing has been a major part of my life from an early age. I learned many forms of dance including ballet, modern and highland dancing. With the support of my family and dance teachers I was able to gain success in competitions. I won national awards in ballet and modern and held a world title in highland dancing. This has allowed me to travel to places like Japan and Indonesia to demonstrate. Some of my other hobbies are reading, being out in nature - hiking and biking, listening to music and going to concerts/shows. I'm up for any adventure life throws at me. I think.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born into a family who are Mormons so that was a good start! Growing up I remember being taught the principles of the gospel. My parents were excellent examples to me and worked hard to raise our family in a Christ centred environment. My mum and dad were diligent in having family scripture study, prayers and at least one night each week where we all made sure to be home to spend time together. I learned what heavenly father's plan is for me and all mankind. Knowing that this is the true gospel of Christ has been a gradual process for me. It seems like I've just always known. As I have grown and matured I have come to recognise specific moments where the spirit has testified to me that an aspect of the gospel is true. I love nothing more than my family and knowing that god's plan allows us to be together forever is such a comfort. I know through personal experience that Christ not only saves us from sin but any opposition we may be facing. He can lighten the load if we just allow him to. I am also very aware that my father in heaven knows me personally and guides me along life's journey as I stay close to him.

How I live my faith

My husband and I help one another to live our faith every day by doing the little things that make a big difference. We pray to heavenly father together and personally, we read the scriptures and try to implement the teachings of modern day prophets in our home. We are trying to start doing those things that will help us to raise our children in a loving, safe environment. I currently work with the children in our ward. I love their energy and enthusiasm for learning about the gospel. I have found that when I share what I know to be true with others it strengthens me and it is so amazing to see other people accept the truth into their lives and gain testimonies for themselves.
