Hi I'm Julia B.

I have 2 loving parents. I have 4 sisters and 6 brothers. I love to run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Julia. I have 10 brothers and sisters (4 sisters and 6 brothers.) I am currently in high school. I ran cross country in the fall and I am planning on running in the fall to come. I love to run with my dad. We do 5Ks together. Together, we strive to make goals, get stronger, and faster. I would like to go to BYU-Idaho when I get older. I do not know what I want to do yet.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised in the church. My parents have a strong testimony, so it was a little easier for me to be a member. Our family is centered around Christ. I choose to go to church every Sunday. I love the members and I love learning new lessons every week. I learn something new every Sunday. I know that having a firm testimony is great because you use it to stay true to your values. In school, you have to have a firm testimony and hold on strong to that. I know that Jesus Christ died for us. I know that he came to Earth and performed many miracles. I know that he is still living today. I know that Heavenly Father hears our prayers. He loves us and cares about us. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, for me, for you, and for everyone. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and he restored the gospel. I know that President Monson is our prophet now. He speaks the truth. I know that he receives revelation from Heavenly Father. I know that the Holy Ghost guides us and comforts us. We just have to listen to the still small voice. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and it is made for our day. I love the church. I KNOW that it is true.

How I live my faith

I am one of the youth. I participate by being a president of the miamaids. The young women's class is broken up into 3 groups which are: laurels (oldest), miamaids (middle), and beehives (younger class). For every class, there is a president, a 1st counselor, and a 2nd counselor. I participate in an early morning church meeting called seminary. This meeting is held before every school day at 6:00 am. We talk about the scriptures and memorize some scriptures. Right now, we are studying the Old Testament. I really love learning about the scriptures. It is easier to learn in a group than it is by yourself. We have a teacher who is really nice and she teaches us the meanings of the scriptures. I love this church and I do not know where I would be without it.
