Hi I'm Liz E.

I am a wife, a mother, and a NICU nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of a law school graduate and the mother of an energetic silly redhead. For the past six years I have worked as a NICU nurse and I absolutely love it. It can be a stressful intense place to work at times, but it is so rewarding to help take care of God's precious little ones. I love photography as well and though initially I got into it to take pictures of my little girl I have had lots of opportunities to take pictures of friends and their families. It is so fun to get behind the camera and see personalities and get to capture them! I also love to cook and bake and I experiment with new recipes often...luckily my husband is very patient and willing to try them out! I can get lost in a good book and enjoy reading fantasy, fiction, historical fiction, religious, and the classics. Our family loves to play games together and family is very important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church, but as a teenager I felt a desire to know for myself if this was His church. I have prayed for myself and read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. I felt an assurance and sense of peace that helped me to understand that it came from God. I feel such peace as I follow the teachings that I have learned in this church and from our modern day prophets. I know it has given me direction for every major decision in my life and has brought me safety from things that could have seriously limited my choices. I know that living the way the gospel teaches has brought me incredible happiness and purpose to my life. The knowledge of why I am here and who I am as a child of God has brought me incredible comfort as I have faced difficult circumstances in my life. I know that God has a plan for each of His children and knows each of us. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that this church is His church restored in our day through a prophet called of God.

How I live my faith

I love being able to serve in my ward. I have had opportunities to work with the youth and teach them lessons on Sunday and plan midweek activities. It is such an awesome opportunity to help them develop their faith and learn important values such as honesty, modesty, responsibility, service and more. I have also enjoyed being able to lead the music in our main meeting as I have always enjoyed singing and I believe music can help us draw closer to God. I love visiting sisters from the ward that I am assigned to and developing friendships so that I can watch out for their needs. I know that the Savior was the perfect example of serving others and getting to serve in my own small way has blessed me and my family in so many ways.
