Hi I'm Braedyn Holley

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love American football, Nascar, Public Speaking, Ballroom Dancing and mostly just living life to the fullest. I'm an avid Gentleman. I believe in old school tradions of chivalry, honesty, respect, just making the world a better place. I believe we are all part of something much much bigger than ourselves. I love rock music, classical, country, blues, hip-hop, and basicly anything that gets my feet tapping. I'm always up for a new adventure. I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel and how it teaches me and helps my family.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite Scriptures in the Bible is Mathew 5:16 which says " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." I try to be the best example that I can, looking for ways to help and serve those around me. Being a Debater in High School helped me learn the Importance of getting all of the facts before jumping to conclusions. I try not to Judge others beacuse I do not know the paths that they have had to walk. I know that we all have many wonderful talents given to us by a wonderful, loving Heavenly Father, who cares for each of us individualy. I know that each of us has, does, and will make mistakes inour own lives and it is only through the Mercy and Grace of our Savior and Older Brother Jesus Christ that we can move on and make something out of this life. I try to invite others to make the changes in thier own lives that they want to make and build their relationship with God. I'm currently serving as a full-time missionary (one of those guys with the white shirt and tie) in the Southern part of Texas, and enjoy having the opportunity to meet new people everyday, and teach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Braedyn Holley
It's a set of commandments from God to show us how to keep our body, mind, and spirit functioning properly and free from addiction. It includes some substances, Coffee, Tea, illigal drugs, alchohal and tabaco. It also teaches us to be active, eat right, and do our best to care for Health in every aspect, Mental, Physical and Spiritual. I believe that Heavenly Father is a whole lot smarter than I am when it comes to making Healthy Choices, so even though I don't always see what He sees, I try to follow this commandment as best as I can because I know, just like with other commandments, I'll be a whole lot happier in the end! What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Braedyn Holley
They will get to know you and your family a liitle bit, they are very freindly and try to be respectful of other who have different ideas and beliefs. They will teach about our Heavenly Father's plan, which includes teh fact that He wants ALL of us to return to him. They will invite you to try some simple things such as reading in the scriptures, praying, and coming to church. They will SHOW you how the Gospel can affect your life in marvelous ways. How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Braedyn Holley
All of the missionaries pay their own way, although their parents and local congregations may help out according to nessecity. In order to do this, we need to learn important lessons such as Honesty, Hardwork and how to budget and save for the things we want to do, like going on a mission. It may seem like a sacrifice, but i know that the blessings that come from sacrifice always outweigh what we think we are paying. Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Braedyn Holley
You probably know a Mormon who would LOVE to share more with you about their beliefs in the Savior, Jesus Christ! While none of Them (Us!) are likely to be perfect, we are all trying our very best to Live His teachings and share our experiences. You are more than welcome to visit any of our Local Meetinghouses (Chapels) neerby. While our worship Servcices are held on Sundays, more than likely there will be some activity going on throughout the week that we'd be more than happy to see you there! Finally, if niether of these options are available to you this website and other websites of the Church, for example Lds.org will have links so that the missionaries in your area can contact you! They Love when people invite them to share more! Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Braedyn Holley
It makes sense to me since the 11 Apostles got together after Judas Iscariot hung himself to choose another Apostle (Mathias) that the office must be pretty important to Christ's Church. Another evidence that they were to continue is that Paul (formerly called Saul) was later called an Apostle! If Christ didn't want more apostles, Why go through all the bother of appearing on the Dusty Road to Demascus? I love to hear from living day apostles. I challenge you to listen to one of their General Conference talks! If the Spirit doesn't touch you then, i don't know what might! Show more Show less
