Hi I'm Swen

I love my family. I like to see the world. I don't like double dippers. I hate pickles and broccoli. Soy Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town on a dairy farm. After one year of college I went to Argentina on a mission to share with others what had always given me so much hope and joy in life. Later I got married, we had our first son, and I graduated and got my first "real" job. I now have 5 children; 4 boys and a girl. I have worked and lived in Idaho, North Carolina, Missouri, California, Veracruz (Mexico), Utah, Arizona, and Arequipa (Peru). I like to play most sports and to be active. I have always had a great connection with Latin people and enjoy speaking Spanish and learning different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had specific times in my life that have increased my faith and defined who I am and what I believe. Though I was born into a Mormon family I have had to gain my own understanding and faith in what the Mormon faith includes. I have been fortunate to have many happy experiences in my life but the moments of true joy have all related to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Moments like marriage, births of children, working as a missionary, have been the highlights of my life and bring a different pure joy than happy or fun times (which are also wonderful). I am sure the teachings in the Mormon Church are of God and sustained by Him.

How I live my faith

I have had many different opportunities to serve others in the Church. Service is a key in the Mormon Church and I feel it allows you to forget yourself and your own problems and help others. The different responsibilities I have had have all helped my grow closer to Jesus Christ and understand His mission of love and service better.
