Hi I'm Ron Arthur

I'm a Mormon and actively participate in the activities and opportunities offered by the Church.

About Me

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City. I served a mission in the France Switzerland mission which was renamed the Geneva Switzerland mission while I was serving. I attended the University of Utah and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. I married Lorrie Ann McFarlin and together we have 6 children and 9 grandchildren. Two have served missions and one is currently serving in the Bangalore India mission. I serve in the South Jordan temple once a week to further the work of the Lord. I also serve in the Ward.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I gained a testimony of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ which began with the visitation of God the Father and his son Jesus Christ to Joseph Smith. Through this beginning the Church was established again on the earth with the same organization that Christ created during his mortal ministry. He continues to lead the church through revelation to the prophets he has established in our day. If we will live his plan we will find great peace in our lives even in these troubled times.

How I live my faith

I have held many positions in the Church throughout my life. I current visit 4 families each month in connection with the home teaching program established in the Church. I enjoy those visits and have had many opportunities to aid those I visit. The most recent was a family who needed a stump removed from their back yard. It is a pleasure to serve others in this manner. I also serve as a counselor in the Sunday School presidency to aid in the instruction of all members in the ward. I also serve in the Jordan River temple to further the work of the Lord for those who have passed on.
