Hi I'm Kent

I love to spend time with my family on the beach, on the court, or in our home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My biggest joy is my family. I am married to my best friend. We have 3 boys, a daughter-in law, and a beautiful new granddaughter. We have spent many hours at ball games, piano recitals, orchestra concerts, tennis and track meets, and have worked on more merit badges than we know. I wouldn't trade one minute of it! It has been great to send our first 2 sons on missions. It was not easy when they overlapped by one week... but so worth it to have them where they need and want to be. What's 4 years without a family picture? A small price to pay for the blessings of getting the Monday missionary e-mail and the blessings that come with missionary work. I served a mission in Spokane, Washington and my wife served in the the Dominican Republic. I am currently a counselor in a Jr High school, and really enjoy working with youth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me a better version of myself. I grew up with friends of many religions and various backgrounds. They all had good qualities, and we got along great. I had to learn for myself that the gospel held the truths that I wanted in my life. I know when I live my life closer to the principles of the gospel, I am happiest. When I follow the Saviors example, I can be a better person.

How I live my faith

I try to live the gospel by being someone my grandparents would be proud of. Whether teaching a class to 5 yr olds, teaching gospel stories to the wonderful youth in our ward, or visiting with an elderly neighbor who may feel lonely.... we can make a difference in our neighborhood and city. I think by truly caring about people- no matter what religion they are, we are being more like the Savior.
