Hi I'm David

I grew up in California in a big family. I'm a doctor, a new Texan, the father of six amazing kids, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the busy Dad of five kids, with a sixth one on the way. I spend much of my time trying to keep up with them. I have a busy work schedule in the health care field and keep busy with that as well. In my spare time I like to work in the yard, grow fruit trees and vegetables, and I love to travel when I get the chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ and from the time I was small have had a growing testimony of the truthfulness of the live and work of Jesus Christ. I love reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and have a special love for the words of Isaiah.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the bishopric of our ward and work with the young men and women as well as the children in their organizations. I teach my children the gospel every morning and night with family prayer and scripture study. We memorize scriptures and talk about the words of the prophets in ancient time as well as those who are living today. We look forward to hearing the words of the living prophets every six months at our church's broadcasted general conference, and have many traditions that make it fun for the whole family. We play conference bingo with the kids favorite candy, eat conference chicken on Saturday morning, and make scones at one of the Sunday sessions. We look for opportunities to serve in our community and congregation and encourage our kids to do the same.
