Hi I'm Jessica Bentley

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of one and hope to be a mom of many someday. I am going to school to get my bachelors in Child Development and I am a proud wife of 2 1/2 years. I am a stay at home mom and couldn't love it more. I love doing crafts off of pinterest and I love cooking as well. Doing anything outside whether it be work or throwing a frisbee around I love it. I have been to 21 states as well as Mexico, and hope to someday see all 50 states and travel the world with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the gospel and so I grew up knowing the truth and then once I went to College I had to decide for myself if what my parents had taught me and raised me in was really what I wanted to believe and teach to my kids as they came in to my life. I went through a time where I would come up with excuses to not go to church, I noticed an emptiness in my life when I would not go to church. So i decided to make a better effort to go and test it out and see if it was really all it was cracked up to be. So I started going even trying to find reason to leave, but all I felt was peace and love there. I knew the things that were taught to be true. Even though I grew up in the church there were things that I wanted to do and needed to do to learn for myself. I learned of the truth of this gospel and learned how much it impacts my life and helps be a guide for me in the things I face every day. Through this experience, I learned first hand that this gospel is true, that Joseph Smith sacrificed so much including his life in order to restore this church to the earth. the prophets are all called of God no matter what day in age it may be, and most importantly families are forever. I know that through prayer I found and came to God and found out for myself what was true. You can do the same.

How I live my faith

I am a Relief Society teacher and it is on 4th Sunday so I get to teach the general conference talks which is my favorite. I also enjoy simply going to church and having my testimony strengthened by the testimonies that are around me. I love visiting teaching and though sometimes it is hard, I know God knows what I need and is making me stronger. Visiting teaching has brought me many great friends and I love it no matter what.
