Hi I'm Danny Russon

I grew up in Lehi, UT. I love family, art, learning, music, et. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been blessed with a wonderful family! Sometimes I wonder how it is that I am so blessed. I love to spend time with them, going on trips, camping, having get-togethers, talking, laughing, everything. I'm grateful that I have the chance to be with them forever! I started drawing at a very young age. My dad would draw dragons for me in church to keep me occupied; I wanted to draw like him so I began practicing and drawing, painting, and even sculpting have become a defining ability - part of who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I did grow up in the Church. However, I live and love the Gospel because of my personal conviction gained through learning, studying, prayer, witnesses from the Holy Ghost, and seeing the blessings that come from obedience to the guidance I have been given. When I was young I had an experience I would term as being the first time I felt the Holy Ghost. I was attending an activity the Primary (an organization for the children) had put on. At its conclusion they played a video about the life of Jesus. As I watched, I was deeply impressed by his love and compassion. The thought came to my mind, "That's my brother." I felt a warmth and a powerful love for him! I yearned to follow him. It wasn't until later -though I'm not sure how much later - in a Primary class I heard the witness of the Holy Ghost described as a "burning in the bossom." While to some that may seem like a strange experience, I knew then that the feeling I had from the things I learned was the witness of the Holy Ghost to me! Later I had a wonderful teacher who inspired me to begin reading my scriptures, and so I have read my scriptures nearly every night for almost 10 years. My conviction of the Book of Mormon did not come all at once, but as I read it over and over through the years, my understanding and conviction of it has deepened, and I have received guidance from my Heavenly Father many times! It has given me the power to change myself and overcome many of my weaknesses. I have also been inspired and guided through life changing experiences by the words of His prophets and apostles on the earth today. I have such happiness in living the Gospel! Feeling the love of my Heavenly Father and His Son have left a deep impression on my heart. All these things help me to know that this is the fulness of His gospel on the Earth today - that His authority is in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Of these things I testify in the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means more than going to church on Sunday. Every day I try to be more like my Savior - change my thoughts, attitude, actions, and even desires to be more in line with His will. I look for opportunities to serve others. I try to be someone who will lift others up. I try to be an example to others in the way I live. And because the message that Christ lives and guides His church today is so important, I seek to share my faith!
