Hi I'm JJ Gilmore

I'm a Mormon who grew up on the Navajo Indian Reservation. I served a mission in Ghana, West Africa and love sharing the gospel.

About Me

I am married with two daughters, a son and love being with my family. I grew up with four brothers and one sister under the roof of two loving and amazing parents. I have grown to love the gospel each year as I experience the blessings from knowing the plan of salvation and knowing how my family can be together forever. I served a two year mission in Ghana, West Africa and love my African brothers and sisters. I love sharing the gospel and love being an example of the happiness that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a "Mormon" because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, the Prophet of Joseph Smith and our current prophets. I love knowing that life continues after death and there is so much more to our existence than what we experience here on earth. I love knowing and having a relationship with my father-in-heaven and love knowing that I am a child of God. I love knowing that Jesus Christ is my/our Savior and through him can we return back to the presence of our father-in-heaven with our family.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith according to the teaching found in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. These canonized scriptures help me understand the gospel more thoroughly. This is so helpful to me because I feel closer to my Father-in-heaven and to my Savior Jesus Christ as I apply the words that are found therein to my day-to-day regimen. I pray often in quiet places and with my family. We hold "Family Home Evenings" which are meetings that we have set aside every Monday to set weekly schedules and to go over family goals. We also use this time to teach and study the lessons that are found in the gospel and look for ways that we can apply them in our lives. All-in-all I just strive to be a good person who walks in the faith of the gospel of Jesus Christ. One of my life's motto's is, "Live your life like Christ because you maybe the only source of scripture someone will read".
