Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother. I love to find new ways to be a better wife and mother - which is my greatest goal. In my little spare time enjoy sewing, cooking, crafts, and

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Savior and I love Heavenly Father. I know they love me and my family. I know that I am of great worth to my Heavenly Father and an instrument for His plan. I know that He wants all to return to Him through faith and obedience to the Gospel. l love the Gospel. I know that the fullness of the Gospel has been restored to this earth through the Lord and that through the hands of Joseph Smith we have it again today. Reading the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon is such a strength and help to me in my life. I have had the knowledge of it's truthfulness testified to me many many times in my life. I am always grateful for the experiences of learning that have come through studying the scriptures and having & showing faith in the gospel taught to me. I have grown up in the church, but after I was baptized at the age of 8, I still remember the feeling of peace and cleanliness I had. My testimony grew the most as a youth and since then I feel that I have had even more incredible testimony building experiences as I have Learned to Live and Love the Gospel more fully as an adult. I know that President Monson is the mouth peice for the Lord today. I know that the inspiration He recieves and the inspiration that our other church leaders recieve is for our time and for each of us individually. I have a strong testimony of the Priesthood power that has been restored to the earth. I have seen miracles happen through the power of the Priesthood - & through the hands of worth Priesthood holders. I will always do all I can to support all worthy Priesthood holders, and I am so grateful to have so many close to me in my life. I know that it is through the sacred Temple ordinances that we can be sealed to our families for All Eternity. I know the importance of going to the Temple and being consistently worthy to enter the temple, so that I might always have those blessings that come from keeping the covenants made there.

How I live my faith

As a Mormon Mom I love teaching my kids about the stories of the scriptures. My boys love all the exciting stories and I love that I get help from those stories - to teach my children right from wrong. Using stories to explain and teach is such an effective way for my kids to learn something new or to just make something more clear to them. And I think the same goes for me too :) As a Mormon I have the opportunity to consistently serve with other Mormons. Since I have been married I have served with the youth (ages 12-18) 90% of the time. I strive to help them in their lives to come closer to Christ and to know that they are Children of Heavenly Father who loves them. It is (in my opinion) the funnest age to serve with because they are so full of energy and excitement about life and about the gospel. And because they are at a time in life when they are making decisions that affect who they can become as adults.
