Hi I'm Christian

I am a missionary from Tennessee teaching others about Christ in Montana. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Christian and I am 18 years old, the fifth out of ten children, but just barely fifth because I'm a twin and she snuck out before me, kind of like Esau and Jacob, even though I should probably receive the birthright. My Dad got his Ph.D from the University of Maryland in Civil Engineering in Construction Management and has used his skills to put a roof over our heads before and after he finally finished his education. My family has moved around the country a few times in my life with my dad juggling working as a project manager, building houses, finishing his education, and teaching at several universities. The longest I've lived in one state is five years in California. California is also where I started high school, it was the first time I went to public school since Kindergarten since I was schooled at home most of my life. I played football and track and field for both years that I spent there. I have almost straight A's in high school, mostly significant because I have had to deal with dyslexia. My family has just recently moved to Tennessee, and I'm now serving in the Billings Montana Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and I was baptized when I was eight in Utah, but I didn't really have a testimony of my own until I was about ten. Upon that age my beautiful mother was forcing her beautiful children to bear their testimonies. During this experience as I was forging a pseudo-testimony that I first gained my bone fide testimony. As I said "I believe in Christ" to please my mom, I realized that my statement was my real, kosher belief- and the hymn of that same name, I believe in Christ, has become one of my favorite hymns now. Since that event my faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ has grown. I can now say that I believe in Christ, his great atoning sacrifice, that we have Prophets today that have restored truth to the Earth through this church; and that if we live these truths we can gain exaltation and live with our families forever.

How I live my faith

When I lived in California I was the only other boy in my quorum, which resulted in me being in charge of organizational events half of the time. I always try to run things so that every one could have fun. Because I love having fun I'm always sure everyone else will. Having joy is a major part of my church, that's why I try to help others enjoy the fullness of joy, I also try to help others have a chance to hear and feel truth. It is the only sure way to fullness of joy, following the teachings of Jesus, back to His presence.
