Hi I'm Jeff

I'm an Adrenaline Junkie. I grew up in Northern Arizona. I love dirt biking with a passion, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Northern Arizona right next to Lake Powell where some of the best dirtbiking i've ever come across resides. I love the outdoors. Anything where i can fill the wind in my hair. From cliff jumping to motorcycle riding i'm an adrenaline junkie and i know it! I am currently serving a Mission in the Michigan Lansing Mission Spanish Speaking of course! I remember when I first really had full contact with the church. As I was growing up I had tons and tons of questions. I wanted to know that there was truly a God and that he cared about me. I remember praying. The details of the prayer I wish not to share because of their sacred meaning to me, but in the prayer I asked my Heavenly father for help to send someone who could help show me the path of all things he would have me do. Not even a week later a gentlemen that ended up helping in my conversion process moved in across the street to me. Because of his sensitivity to the spirit and knowledge of the Gospel he was able to help me to develop a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I asked God that night for knowledge as well as help. I came to know that God does know me. He watches over me, but that is usually through other people that he meets my needs.

Why I am a Mormon

It all made sense. When I had a great and wonderful friend that was able to help me out and showed me what the gospel could do in my life I knew I had found the true Religion the one that had been formed by God. There was a time in my life where i didnt know what i was going to do. I felt like i had lost everything and had my back to the wall. But, God was there and he pulled me through my difficult times and has blessed me with the ability to help others. I'm a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints because I've been given the opportunity to be fully clean and forgiven for the mistakes I've made in my life even more is i can become even better through the Gospel and the Light that it gives. To answer I'm a Mormon because of the answers that I have personally received concerning the truth fullness of this Church as the one that was Established by Christ. My name is Jeff and I'm not just a Mormon. I'm a Latter-Day Saint.

How I live my faith

I pray every single day. It's amazing to know that I can always talk to my Heavenly Father, and that He is always listening. I have developed a love for The Holy Bible that I never had growing up, and also for The Book of Mormon. I go to church every Sunday, and attend numerous events my church hosts. I strive to live by the Golden Rule- "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and love the peace and calm this simple rule brings into my life. I enjoy doing volunteer work, and do some sort of service at least once a week. I love talking to people about my faith, and about the joy and peace Jesus Christ and His Restored Gospel bring into my life. But perhaps the best way I live my Faith is to try to be the best person I can be, and to try to be an example of Christ in everything that I do. As I make an effort daily to read and study the Book of Mormon, I feel God's presence and influence in my life. It's so simple. It's so perfect! It's so necessary. I can't imagine my life without it! This is something that I invite everyone to do. Read, love, cherish and LIVE what the Book of Mormon says. I promise you'll not only find that it's true, but that by abiding its precepts, you'll be led closer to God than you ever have been before or ever thought was possible.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

As Members of the Church of Jesus Christ we do not believe in payed ministry. We believe in doing service both to our fellow man as well as our God. One of the ways that we're able to do both of these is through "callings" (positions of service) in our church. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Although we believe that Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God. We do not worship him. We worship our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. We look at Joseph Smith as a powerful tool in our Heavenly Fathers hand. However, we know that without God and his authority the restoration of the fullness of the Gospel could not have taken place.
