Hi I'm John Richey

I'm a father of 8. My wife and I have his, hers and ours but they are all ours just the same. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small community of about 300 people. I grew up in the religions of Baptist and Lutheran. It took me about 19 years to get my college degree. I am an avid fan of baseball. I enjoy woodowrking and working on cars. I work as a Paramedic. I joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 2009 as a Financial Management Technician. I am currently deployed to the Middle East. Before getting deployed, my wife and I were sealed in the temple for all time and eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

I went to LDS services with some friends while at Basic training. I had a feeling of placement when at church. I spoke with an LDS member and he said to pray about if this was the true church. After several days, I told him that I had not received an answer to my prayer about the church. I also told him about the feeling I had every Sunday at church. My friend told me that I had received my answer by the feeling I had when I was at church. My friend told me that Heavenly Father will answer all prayers, although the answer is not always what you would expect, or the way you expect to receive it.

How I live my faith

I attend church services as often as possible, although it is hard to do sometimes when you are in the military. Prior to deployment, I was an eleven year old boy scout leader and a home teacher.
