Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a musician. I'm a family man. I'm a water-skier. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have spent my whole life growing up in the mountains of northern Utah. Growing up in Utah has helped me develop a love for the beauty that surrounds us every day. I love to spend my time in the mountains hiking, four-wheeling, riding snowmobiles, and sitting around a campfires. When I am not up in the mountains, you probably will find me boating, working in the yard, or spending time with my friends. Though I love the beauty that comes from being out in God's many creations, my true passion for beauty can be found through my love for music. I listen to music all of the time! I play several instruments like the piano and the trumpet. Music is my way of expressing my emotions and connecting with people. Above playing music and being in the outdoors, my favorite thing to do is spend time with the people I love. I have been blessed with many wonderful friends and the best family that any young boy could ever ask for. I love my family very much!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because I am happy!!! Whenever I have made a choice in my life that has not been in line with my beliefs as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, I have always felt that happiness leave me. Whenever, I change my life and strive to follow the Savior, I am happy again! It is that simple! I grew up a member of the church my life. I did not realize what I had taken for granted as a member of the church until I saw the lives of other people who chose to forsake everything that they grew up believing. The Gospel of Jesus Christ that I have learned about through the church helps me to realize that I have value. I realize that I'm an important person. I realize that God has a plan for me. And not only that, I realize that this is the case for ALL of God's children! We all of a purpose and there is a plan for us and that plan is for us to be happy and enjoy this life. We can be free from our own mistakes and imperfections as we learn about the Savior and follow his life. It is ennobling and empowering to be a Mormon. Those are feelings that everyone on this earth should feel!

How I live my faith

My faith is an expression of my desire to be a 'good boy.' Growing up, it was never hard for me to make the right choices. I was the youngest and had many perfect examples to look up to in my parents, grandparents, and brothers and sister. At a young age, I decided that I wanted to do whatever it takes to be the best ME that I can be. This was an easy thing for me until I chose to leave my family and serve a two year mission to South Dakota to teach the people there about the Savior. Everything in my life changed when I walked into those two years as a missionary. I served and came home a changed person. Being home from a mission was my first real step into how difficult life can be. I have seen many friends make decisions that have distanced themselves from the Lord and from me as their friend. Even I have had to make really hard decisions that I never thought I would have to make. There are a lot of times that I have made the mistakes that have taken me away from those I love. Living my faith is about every day little choices. I can choose where I go in life and what kind of person I want to be. But I will never amount to anything if I choose not to involved the Lord in my life. I live my faith by looking for tiny opportunities every day where I can prove to the Lord that I love him and also prove to my friends that I know that we can be happy and make correct choices in this life.
