Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up outside of Denver. I am a college student studying Mechanical Engineering. I love music and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently enrolled at BYU-Idaho. I am studying Mechanical Engineering because i love math, physics and science. I grew up outside of Denver. I loved to go skiing and go hiking with my scout patrol. I also love to play my guitar. One of my favorite things to do is to jam with buddies. I played soccer, lacrosse and football in high school. I love pretty much all sports. In college I play volleyball, frisbee and other sports. In the winter I love to go skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it the one of the most correct choices I can ever make in my life. For a period of time in my youth I chose to distance myself from the church. This period of time was one of the most miserable times I can recall. Slowly I begun to say my prayers daily and read my scriptures. Throughout my high school career i grew stronger and stronger in testimony. I have studied my faith and received a divine answer that this Church is true. This church brings me closer to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I feel his love each time I read my scriptures and pray. I personally know that He suffered for me and my sins so that i may repent and return to His presence. I have felt the power of forgiveness in my life from Him and the cleansing power. Each day I feel the helping strength from my Savior and through the Holy Spirit. Now I am happy as ever. Despite the many trials I face, I know that I do NOT face them alone. This is His church and I know that Joseph Smith restored this Gospel. Joseph Smith is a prophet and because of him I have this happiness in my life. The Book of Mormon was truly written for our time. I read it everyday and each time I learn something new. It helps my get to know my Savior and teaches me of his gospel. I know these things to be true because I exercised faith. I am nothing special. Everyone is entitled to what I have received, a witness of the truthfulness of this Gospel. I know God lives and he loves each of is children. I feel that love everyday and I know it is there.

How I live my faith

By making the Church my top priority, I live my Faith by making it a priority. The church has this great program that members can be given callings to serve people in their area. I was called to be a ward missionary. I was able to serve those i loved by visiting them and sharing the wonderful message of Christ and His restored gospel. My love for those i served great greatly during this calling. Often I am asked to teach a lesson in Sunday classes. This is a wonderful experience. It is so great to study a topic and share what I have learned with my fellow war members. I live my Faith by practicing what i preach. I may not be perfect but I do my very best each day to represent Christ. I help those around me and receive help from those around me who also live their Faith. James 2:17 states ,"faith without works is dead". I exercise my Faith by attending church meetings, praying, studying scriptures and striving to be a better person each day.
