Hi I'm Nathan

I am from Montana. I love spending time outside. Football is my favorite sport. I love the smell of diesel, and i'm a Mormon

About Me

Growing up my parents taught me the concept of good hard work. Almost all of my memories are from the farm and the small town that i grew up near. When i was young i got really excited about playing sports and becoming the best that i could be. I pushed myself to the limit to reach goals that i had set for myself. I learned that if i set a goal and put my mind to it that the word impossible wasnt even in my vocabulary. I love to play football. I learned so many lessons from it, dicipline, courage, endurance and the list goes on and on. Having to be on a team was great because it taught me how to get along well with others under a lot of stress. I am an eagle scout and love going camping and hiking and fishing. Riding horses is one of my favorite things to do! Being outside is the best tharapy that a person can get, so thats where i like to spend alot of my time. I love to make others happy and i love putting smiles on others faces. I love wearing my cowboy boots and cowboy hat! I have 6 brothers and sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

All growing up my parents taught me that this was the true church of Jesus Christ and i got to the point in my life that I needed to know for myself if it was or not. In The Book Of Mormon Enos went through a simmilar thing. His father had taught him and he decided to pray about it but he tells it better so here are his own words. Enos 1:1-4 "1 Behold, it came to pass that I, Enos, knowing my father that he was a just man for he taught me in his language, and also in the nurture and admonition of the Lord nd blessed be the name of my God for it 2 And I will tell you of the a wrestle which I had before God, before I received a remission of my sins. 3 Behold, I went to hunt beasts in the forests; and the words which I had often heard my father speak concerning eternal life, and the joy of the saints, sunk deep into my heart. 4 And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens." I did just as Enos did. I prayed to know if this was true and I received an answer to my prayer through the Holy Ghost. The feeling that i got was so peaceful and powerful at the same time. I knew with out any doubt that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. The power of the spirit is something that i hold close. I am a Mormon because of the peaceful feelings that i get everyday.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a missionary in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. There is no better feeling and joy in this world than to see someone else's life change for the better because of making right choices. In Mosiah 2:41 it talks about the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. I am a firm believer that when we do what is right then the Lord blesses us and we are in a better position to help others out. I love serving people and teaching them how to pray to Heavenly Father and how to recieve answers. I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us. In life there are hard times and challenges and sometimes people wonder why our Heavenly Father would allow evil or suffering to occur. As a missionary i have the opportunity to help others understand why by introducing them to The Book of Mormon. The Book of Moromon answers questions of the soul and fills the void that so many people have in their hearts. I live my faith by finding comfort in, and inviting others to read The Book Of Mormon.

Are Mormons Christians?

Nathan
Yes, Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Christians. Some people get confused when we are called Mormons as well, but bieng called Mormon is just a nick name that we have aqquired because of The Book of Mormon. We Believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of the world. Being a Christian meens that you believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as your personal savior. Jesus Christ invited all of us to follow him, something that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints strive to do in our every day lives.. not just on sundays or in front of others. Being a Christian meens that you are Christlike, loving, faithful, patient, hopeful, full of charity, virtueous, humble and dilligent. Yes, Mormons are Christians! Show more Show less
