Hi I'm Danny

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

About me...well, here goes. I'm a musician first and foremost. I've played the piano since I was 5 and started composing when I was nine. I did my undergrad at BYU in piano performance and then went on to get a grad certificate at USC in filmscoring (music for movies). Now I'm just looking for work in the music industry and finding some gigs now and then writing for TV and movie trailers. My hobbies... I'm not really the geeky gamer (well, I AM a geek, let's face it, I'm a musician...), but I do enjoy playing a game or two in my free time. I also love to play racquetball as well. I know it's totally a white guy sport, but I love it! It's great exercise and I have someone that I play with every couple days.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. It has been home to me for my entire life. That being said, I'm not LDS because my family was. I'm LDS because it's something I believe through and through. I went on a mission to Germany for 2 years, which only helped to solidify my beliefs. It's very comforting to know that, on top of my personal relationship with God, I have his church on earth to help me through my struggles and needs. There have been so many church leaders and members that have helped me through hard times and believe me, there have been hard times! The knowledge that I have that God loves me and has a plan for me is the thing that keeps me ticking. I don't know, and don't even like to think about where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith as much as I can! I have a volunteer position in the congregation that I attend, which is to play the piano for the choir. I've done it for more than half of my life so far, so it might be time for a change, but it's fun and I enjoy it. I believe music is one of the ways that God speaks to us when we're quiet enough to listen. We have a health code in the church and I follow that as well. I don't smoke or drink and don't to anything that is harmful or that would degrade my body.
