Hi I'm Ashton Christine Stott

I went to college in Hawaii, I am now a teacher at my home town school in Washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town named Warden Washington. There were 60 students in my graduating class of 2007. I was the class president, Captain of the Volleyball, Basketball and softball teams. I was a member of the schools concert band, pep band and jazz band. During my Sophomore year of High school I was not only a starter for every sport but also was able to travel to USC for a carnival were only the top 6 schools were able to attend for a jazz festival. My family lived on a dairy and I was able to grow close to my family through this work. We had many memories that only us as a family were able to have. Things as simple as chasing cows at midnight because they broke down the fence, or even branding at the pasture. We always were able to make our work together fun and enjoyable. My siblings are my best friends and will be for eternity. As I grew up and moved on to college I was able to attend BYU Hawaii. As i left home everyone thought I was crazy for wanting to go to Hawaii but i couldn't think of a better place to go. I knew my family would always be there for me and be there when i got home so what better time to go out and experience life. It was the best choice ever as I was able to become a teacher and run the intramural program there at school. Teaching and coaching is now my life and I absolutely love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I was able to grow as a young child and continue to learn through primary and young womens about the gospel. At first it started as just following my parents but as I got older I realized how important the gospel was to me in my life. Being able to go to church twice a week for meetings on Sundays and youth groups on Wednesday. It was a little piece of heaven on earth as I was able to shake the stress of the world for this short amount of time.

How I live my faith

I now am able to every Sunday, teach the young children songs in our church. This is a wonderful time out of my week and gives me the strength and extra boost i need to complete my week. I also am able to teach at the local school district where I am able to be around the youth from our church daily. It is fun to watch them and teach them throughout there school careers. Not only am I able to teach these young people but coach them. They are a joy to be around and teach and also learn from. I'm so grateful for the gospel and the happiness it brings to me.
