Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in Utah. Lived in California for seven years. I work with social media. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to school in California for dentistry, but when I moved to Utah to finish up I realized it wasn't for me and graduated in communications with an emphasis in public relations. I love to be active and have ran a marathon, a bunch of halves, and done a few triathlons. While living in California I fell in love with water polo and surfing. I love to travel to New York at least once a year and even though I live in Utah I have a season pass to Disneyland because I am obsessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and living in Utah all my friends were members. I served a mission in California, but didn't do all that I could have. When I came home I moved back to California for school. I always new that the church was true, but like they say the things that are going to keep you strong are a calling, a friend, and the good word of God. I went to church and just felt like no one cared about me. After a while I just stopped going and fell away. I came home one summer and a close friend (basically a brother) said that if I would move back and he'd go to church with me and we could both get back on the right track. I thought my life was great and then I had to really think and pray about it. I hadn't done that in a long time and my prayer was answered. I moved back and we both became active. Unfortunately he passed away and it was hard, but a year later I was able to be present for his temple work and it was amazing. From then on I realized that I would do everything I could to see my friend again. From then on when called to do anything I put 100% into it because I know that this life isn't forever and I don't want to look back thinking I wasted it. I know that this there have been a lot of members of the church that have put for everything, including their lives for this gospel and I feel that I am could finally do that. Yeah, it's not easy, but why should it be? It makes things more fun and interesting when you have to work for them. I am so grateful that I can work for what I am going to get when this life ends. I am grateful to know that this life isn't the end and that we will be with our families for eternity. I love my Savior and what he went through for me so that I can return to my father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I do all that I can no matter what my calling is. I was the activities committee chairman and had a blast doing that and now I am the ward mission leader. I tell the missionaries all the time that I do all that I can for them since I didn't do all that I could on my mission. It's really been an awesome experience. And of course I am a home teacher and I love that too. When I lived in California I did have a home teacher. He came every month and visited me. He really was the example to me that you never know what people you're visiting are going through, but they really enjoy your visits.
