Hi I'm Kathryn Stone

I'm a dancer, singer, photographer, cake decorator, the FAVORITE aunt and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 and I just graduated from BYU-Idaho with a BS in Communications and a minor in Culinary Arts. I love photography and design in many different areas. One of the areas of design that I absolutely LOVE, is cake decorating. One of my dreams is to be able to start my own business where I can incorporate photography and cake decorating. I am a family person. I am the 3rd of 4 kids. I have 2 nieces and 3 nephews that I absolutely ADORE! I love being with my family more than anything. I love being an aunt! There is nothing better sounding to my ears then the sound of "Come get me Aunt Kathyn!!!" I love music! Growing up, my whole family learned to have an appreciation of music. My whole family plays an instrument of some kind. I play the trumpet, piano, organ, and I sing. One of my favorite memories with my family is when my dad would pull out his guitar and accompany us in the Family Home Evening song. There is seriously nothing like families getting together and singing! I love exploring the beautiful outdoors! It's even better when I have my camera! I love being able to see the different beauties that Heavenly Father has created for us! I love to make people laugh. I am famous in my family for my silly one-liners. I also like to make people cry.... good crying of course =) I love being able to touch people in a way that they are able to feel the spirit. So I guess you could say that I love helping the spirit to make people cry. All tears of joy of course.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS home, but I, like everyone, had to gain my own testimony. I came to know that this church is true through prayer, study, and experience. I didn't start gaining my own testimony until I was 17. I knew without a doubt that this church holds the truth and that it holds answers to whatever question you might have to anything. I know that this is the true church! I know that through prayer and reading the Book of Mormon, you can know of the truthfulness and divinity of this book and this WONDERFUL gospel! I know that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet, seer and revelator today. I know that "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah." (The Book of Mormon, Introduction, last paragraph.)

How I live my faith

I love this gospel! It has blessed my life in so many ways. The thing I've learned throughout my life is how important it is to not only live your faith, but do everything in your power to keep that faith growing. There are many ways that I do this. I believe in not just worshiping and praying to God on Sundays, but every day multiple times a day. I love to listen to the prophets, read the scriptures and sharing what I've learned with others. I don't think there is anything better than sharing my most recent find in the scriptures with someone I love and care about. Right now I get to do that every day multiple times a day! I am currently serving a mission in the GLORIOUS Knoxville Tennessee Mission and it has helped my faith grow so much. I have learned out here that every soul is truly precious! I have been able to see and feel the love that Heavenly Father has for everyone of His children. This has blessed my life in so many ways that words can't describe.
