Hi I'm Garrett

I am a missionary in the Romania Moldova mission.

About Me

I love my family. I grew up in Colorado and could definitely live there there rest of my life. I'd probably consider myself a people person. I have always found business fascinating. After I return home I plan on studying business at BYU. Currently, I'm serving a mission in Romania. I could probably use a million different cliche sayings to explain how amazing my mission is, but the truth is it just can't really be described. I love humor. I like that finding humor and joy in all things can make everyday a great day. There is always something worth smiling about. I love food. I'm hooked on buffalo wings. I probably could eat chinese food everyday for the rest of my life and not complain. I enjoy sports. I spent most of my life playing lacrosse, but I find almost all sports fun to play. I would have to say that when I was younger, learning didn't come easy to me. It still probably doesn't come easy, but I love learning anyways and find it rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, my grandparents and other ancestors made the wise decision of listening to the missionaries. This choice has effected all their generations after. I myself am one of those descendants. In this perspective, the real question would be, "why am I STILL a Mormon?" The answer is because I have found that the principles of the gospel, taught in the restored Church of Jesus Christ, are all true and lead us to real happiness. Testimonies and the words of prophets, apostles, and church leaders have been confirmed to me to be true through the Holy Ghost. The restored gospel that has given me the strength and comfort to overcome all challenges in my life.

How I live my faith

This reminds me of Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good glorify your Father which is in heaven." As a missionary, I try to keep this in mind so that people can recognize the light and joy that comes from the gospel. I try to be an example of that light through how I act and treat others. Being a missionary helps me so much live my faith. Each day I teach and speak to people about Christ's restored church and Heavenly Father's plan for us all.
