Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a small town boy. I love playing sports and being outdoors & in mountains, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm was born and raised in a small town in Southern Utah. I'm the youngest of 4 kids. I have 2 older brothers and one older sister. All my life I've enjoyed being in the mountains for whatever reason it may be including hunting, fishing, fourwheeling, snowboarding and hiking. I also love to spend as much time during the summer as I can at the lake boating and wakeboarding. In high school I played football, baseball, basketball & ran track. My favorite, however, is definitely baseball. I love everything about the game. I also love music, especially country music. Country music is something that has really come to be a passion of mine. So much of the music today is based on poor values displayed by much of the world and country music for the most part has kept with family values and good lyrics. Currently I'm serving a mission in the Houston, Texas. One of the many things I've come to love about Houston is the many different cultures I encounter each and every day. I love learning about different cultures and all the different customs of these cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has done more for me than anything else in this world could. Having a Gospel in my life has really given me a purpose to everything I go through. It's helped me understand how important the trials I go through really are. Being a Mormon doesn't keep bad things from happening to me, but it has given me a way to get through my trials and tribulations with more hope, understanding and patience. I know that Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth and that with that came the authority of God, the authority that all ordinances required for salvation is essential for. For this reason I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that through this authority I can be with my family forever. Not only the family I have now, but my future family as well. This knowlege really helps me understand the purpose of life and also the importance of family and family values. The values I've been taught by my parents have had an impact on me that will forever help me in my life, and I know that these values are those I need to share with my future family.

How I live my faith

Currently I'm serving a mission in the Texas Houston South Mission. As missionaries we serve each day of the week for two years, sharing the Gospel with all we come in contact with.  We also try to serve others in any way we can from mowing a lawn helping someone move. But our main purpose as missionaries is to invite all to come unto Christ. Even though I've never loved heat or humidity, I love the work I'm able to do each day, and I especially love all the people I meet every day. The experience I am having out here is one that has already and will forever effect my life.
