Hi I'm Anne Staples

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the small neighborhood of Fruit Heights, Ut surrounded by wonderful family and friends. I have studied abroad in the beautiful city of Jerusalem. It is there that I studied the prophets of the Old Testament and gained a deeper appreciation for our Savior in my study of the New Testament. So far I have an Associate's Degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am taking a break from my education to serve a mission for the LDS church. I have been called to serve in the Japan Tokyo Mission. I am more than excited to serve and love the people of Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because every aspect of the gospel feels like truth to me. I feel the Spirit testify to me every time I walk in a chapel, open the Book of Mormon, and kneel down in prayer to see if He is there. I know He is there listening to my every worry, patiently waiting for me to figure out my challenges, and loving every part of who I am. I know that my Savior came into the word to live a life as an example to all, I know that he suffered in Gethsemane so that we may be free of the bondage that comes from sin, and I know that he died that we may live. This is why I am a Mormon, because this gospel is one of love and peace.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by bringing others to the truthfulness of the gospel as a missionary. I hope to exhibit my life in the same way that the Savior did. I hope to help others feel the love of God in their lives. It is my goal to show people peace and joy through my testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know it is the word of God. I have decided to sacrifice 18 months of my life because this gospel is the most important thing in my life and I want to show my Father in Heaven my faith and devotion to him.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Anne Staples
When you study the word of God you are given one of many opportunities to feel God's power and love in your life. It gives you peace to search His word. When you feast upon His words everyday you are given personal revelation to help you with difficulties and worries. When you read the scriptures your testimony of Jesus Christ will increase and you will have a greater desire to do good, serve others, and make decisions that will bless you and others everyday. You will become more like the Savior this way and will find peace in that knowledge. Show more Show less
