Hi I'm Cameron

I've lived in 3 states, I've worked at a greenhouse, a pizza place, and a dairy farm. I'm a full time missionary, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 20 years old and the second oldest in a family of five children. I have an older sister, younger sister and two younger brothers. My family is everything to me, we do everything together. My Dad is one of my best friends. And we hang out a lot, whether it is mountain biking, golfing, or chilling in our house watching a movie. I love to sing, it's one of my passions. As a kid I was always running around singing my head off and well... I still run around singing. I didn't start singing in a choir until my senior year in high school when I moved from Utah to Wyoming. There I started singing in our top show/jazz choir. When I went to college at BYU-Idaho I joined the mens choir. I also ballroom dance, I started dancing in high school and hope to continue and join the college team at after my mission. Right now I am serving for 2 years as a missionary in the Taiwan Taichung mission, Chinese speaking. I hope to go back to school and continue studying Chinese and also become fluent in Hebrew and eventually Spanish while majoring in international relations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, baptized when I was 8, taught that I should keep the commandments, and when I was 19 I should go on a mission. And so for most of my life that's what I did. I relied on my parents testimony of the church, but when I was 15 I reached a point where I had to find out for myself if it was true. I wasn't sure if God really existed, so I started praying and reading my scriptures and asking God if he was real. And if Jesus really is the Christ, I continued this for three months. Then that summer I went to a youth camp and there I was asked to bare my testimony, as I started talking I was overwhelmed with the love that God had for me. I know he is there, and I know Christ lives. And I know that this is his Church.

How I live my faith

I am serving for 2 years as a full time missionary in the Taiwan Taichung mission, Mandarin Chinese speaking. I devotee everyday to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Taiwan. This time is special to me, it has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I am able to help people learn about Jesus Christ and the way in which we can find eternal happiness.
