Hi I'm Petrina

I grew up in California, I was born in Taiwan, I speak Mandarin, I teach and compose music, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a passion for the fine arts. I grew up studying piano and violin, and have been singing ever since I can remember. I have been a part of choir, musicals, and orchestra all throughout my life and love to compose music. I love reading literature and writing. I love culture and food, and enjoy cooking all different kinds of ethnic food. I enjoy discovering new things and finding new ways to be more self-reliant. Most importantly, I love sharing what I've learned /discovered with others because of the happiness that it brings them.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents learned about and joined this church when I was two. I have been raised on the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have seen it richly blessed my life. There are many who could say I have followed in the footsteps of my parents, but I must say that each person, no matter what their background, must decide for themselves at some point what it is they want and what it is that they believe. For me, I have had many experiences throughout my life, miracles even, that have confirmed for me that this is the true church of God on the face of the earth. I have received very personal and direct answers to my prayers and know that I have a Heavenly Father who knows and loves me. My testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ is everything to me. This gospel has helped my know my purpose, my worth, and most importantly, my divine potential. I love this gospel and am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission in Taiwan. This experience has changed my life completely. I understand more and more just how much God loves each and every one of us, and how much he wants to give each of us the very best. Before my mission, I was greatly involved in missionary work, our ward choir, and visiting others in our ward. I love serving others; there is nothing that brings me greater joy. I'm excited upon returning home, to continue to find more and more ways to serve my community, to help others find more happiness and a better quality of life. Most importantly, I'm excited to continue building meaningful relationships of trust, love, respect, and sincerity, those of which will last me for eternity.
