Hi I'm Maria (Lil'leth)

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 43 years old, a happy wife, a proud mother of one, grateful step-mother of three, and a Naval Officer in the United States Navy. I've been a member of the LDS Church since 2001.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of our Savior Jesus Christ. Prior to choosing to be baptized, my past led to me feeling lost, angry, distrustful, and abandoned by God. Searching for peace and answers, I was curious and explored all faiths. One day, I sought to be taught by the LDS missionaries. To my surprise, they didn't merely preach or share the gospel but rather consistently encouraged me to find out the truth for myself. Upon reading the Book of Mormon, every word testified to me that I was NOT abandoned by our God, and that our Savior still lives, he knows me, and he loves me. I had no doubt that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon was another testimony that our Savior Jesus Christ. It was undeniable. Best of all, I learned that families can be together forever and that through repentance, I can be forgiven for my sins. I urge everyone to find out for themselves.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best I can, guided by the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, teachings of the old and new prophets, and the support and love of family, friends, and church family. I am not perfect, but I desire to be and I know I can do it through Jesus Christ, my Savior.
