Hi I'm TJ

I'm a technology enthusiast, a programmer, a citizen soldier, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of four kids, i'm currently a college student, and a member of the California National Guard. For the past couple of years I have been working as a web developer for a number of small businesses in my area and programming small side projects in my free time. My family and friends are some of the most important things in my life. With my family i enjoy our Friday night pizza and movie nights, and our beach BBQ (ok so fast food fried chicken ...). With my friends you will most likely find me at game night, making fun of old sci-fi films, or at the mall going to the movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up LDS, but it wasn't until i left home for basic training that I really came to learn for myself that this church is true. Through prayer and consistent scripture study I came to know what I had always believed that God loves us each individually, that he answers our prayers, and that he has given us a prophet today to be able to better follow him. But the most important thing to me is that I know I can live with my family forever. I moved all over the United States growing up, so my family are some of my best friends. The knowledge that this life is not the end of that friendship, or the end of our family has brought us closer together. It also helps me to be able to better prioritize my life.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest opportunities have as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is to serve one another. This principle of service has been instilled in me since I was a young kid. I have come to love every service opportunities i get, we often get opportunities to help people move in or out of our area, to bake cookies to visit friends or neighbors, and we call upon each other to help in times of need. It is one of he most gratifying feelings i have ever had. Now as a 20 year old i have the opportunities to serve as a missionary for the church (one of those two guy's in white shirts and ties) and serve full time the people of Taiwan.
