Hi I'm J.D.

I am a father of three, husband of one, and will be a nurse very soon. I am a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I love to play with my kids, play board games, and hang out with my wife. I enjoy reading books and going to school. I enjoy learning about the health care system. I try to play the guitar on occasion, as well as the piano. I am going to school to become a RN and then will continue to go to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. I served a mission in Guatemala, which I miss. It is a wonderful place. I hope to end my career by being a teacher for future nurses. I do like the occasional Wii game with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it is the only church that has all of the saving principles and ordinances that I need to return back to my Father in heaven with my family. I believe in living prophets and that Joseph Smith saw the Father and his Son. The Book of Mormon is another testament of the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ. It contains the fullness of the gospel. It clarifies what the Bible teaches us. I have been a member for my whole life. I have never doubted the truthfulness of the gospel or doubted that the church is true. The Holy Spirit has comfirmed to me the truthfulness of it all, and I can not dey it.

How I live my faith

I have the calling as a leader in the young mens group in our ward. I enjoy working with the youngest men in the group. I have served in other teaching positions and leadership positions. It is a joy to help others. Service relieves tension and gives you an all around good feeling. I can always learn new things from the members of the church, especially the youth.
