Hi I'm Travis

I am a small town kid from Wyoming. I like being in the outdoors and spending time with family. I enjoy sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Travis. I grew up in a small town in Southwest Wyoming. I have lived there all my life. I love the country life and wouldn't trade it for anything. I have the best brother, sister, mom and dad that anyone could ask for. I love spending time in the mountains, on the ranch, or at the mechanic shop. I like to hunt, fish, camp, and ride four wheelers. I love taking the Jeep out in the desert or the mountains and having a fun time. I like to play basketball and most other sports. I have completed a year of college so far. I am studying Business Administration and Electrical Instrumentation. I am served as a missionary in the Tulsa Oklahoma mission from August 2010 to August 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have received a spiritual confirmation that this is Christ's only true church on the earth. There are many churches that have truth but in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the fulness of truth has been restored. I was raised in the church but that does not mean that I always had a testimony. I had to come to that knowledge for myself and I am grateful that I have. I know that through the Prophet Joseph Smith, Christ restored his original truths that were lost after the apostles were killed. Jesus Christ is the center of this church and everything else builds on that fact. As i came to know this for myself, I spent time studying the Bible and Book of Mormon. Prayer played a major role in my conversion. I know that we can pray to our Heavenly Father and that He hears and answers our prayers. I have felt the Spirit bear witness to me that this is Christ's true church. I am extremely grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever by the power of the priesthood. I can't imagine heaven without my family. They mean everything to me. I know that we have a living prophet who leads and guides the church under our Savior's direction. I know that the standards and values taught in the church provide the way to live a happy life. I am thankful for the Book of Mormon. I know it is a true book translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God. The Plan of Salvation is talked about in the Bible, but more fully explained in the Book of Mormon. It provides comfort in my daily life knowing that I can return to Him someday. Peace also has come to my life as I learn more about the Savior's suffering and Atonement. That is the greatest gift the world could receive and He suffered for me and you, personally and individually. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have grown closer to our Savior and Redeemer and I want to share this truth with everyone.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I actively participate in service opportunities. I try to be an example to those around me no matter where i am at. I also take the time to share the gospel when opportunities arise. As a priesthood holder, I live worthy of the promises that i have made to our Heavenly Father and look for opportunities to help His children.. Living the gospel, to me, is a personal commitment to become more Christ-like each day we are alive.
