Hi I'm Jordan

Young artist, who grew up in Utah, USA. Have a talent for digital artistry. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was in high school, I had found that I had a skill for drawing. So I pursued this talent and had gotten to where I can draw a lot of things, long as I want to draw it. Later in college, I learned about Adobe Photoshop, and how to use it to create artwork at a faster pace, and with colors I found hard to make with pencils. I had started on a diploma for digital media that emphasizes in gaming and animation, because I found other mormons that worked in that field too. I had postponed my diploma though so I go on a LDS mission to California. Though I like to draw, it's not my only talent. I'm kinda of what you would call a "Jack of all trades" because I have a knack for fixing things and knowing how to do things with the littlest amount of effort as possible. In fact, I like to do lots of outdoor activities too. Such as, hiking, biking, swimming, camping, fishing, archery, targeting shooting, ATV riding, and sports such as wrestling, ball sports, and running. I had worked from the time of 9th grade (2007), at first, doing yard work. Then in 11th (2009), started doing construction and remodeling too as a apprentice. I now know alot about building and what goes into building a structure such as a house or anything like so. I'm from a family of eight, with both parents, and five younger siblings. Being the eldest sibling have it's pros and cons, but what I have to be most was the peacekeeper, good example, sometimes the lower judge, and of course, the big brother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a mormon, and I stayed that way through praying to God to know if He was really there. I got my answer, and it's was one of that left me rejoicing in his name. I'm glad that I broke what fears Satan tried to catch me with, and I plan on sticking with this... That God is our Heavanly Father, Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that the Holy Ghost testifies of this being true. I believe that Joseph Smith is Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, of the Restored Church of Christ. I say these things with full faith in what I believe to be true, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

By doing the simple things asked for. Obey His commandments, attend church, giving service to others, and praying always for His spirit to be with me. I've learned that the greatest amount of agency I can experience comes from when I obey what the Lord has asked of me. The devil is one for complicating things, and make things of truth to be such. Truth is, those things aren't complicated, they're simple and easy to follow, it's just a matter of having a desire to do it.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Jordan
Of course not. We recognize him as a seer, prophet, and revalator of his time, and the man Christ chose to help restore His church. We worship God as our Eternal Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ as our Savior, with Holy Ghost as a guide and testifier of God, Christ, and their teachings being truth. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Jordan
That is I'm sorry to say, is false doctrine. The New Testament tells of how apostles were called throughout it. From the time of Christ, to the very last book the New Testament, they were called to lead the Church on the right path, otherwise they wouldn't have called Matthias to replace Judas. Neither when Stephen was martyred, or Paul ordained to an Apostle. Paul in fact said that the Church is built upon a foundation of Apostles and Prophets (Ephesians 2:19-20). Show more Show less

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Jordan
While many would argue that men and women should both hold the priesthood, no one has the right to counsel God on how He does things. The Lord put men in charge of holding the priesthood, but that doesn't mean that puts them above the women. They have a huge place in the church, with their own organization called the Relief Society. It's initial purpose is to administer help to those in need, and has grown to be one of the largest woman's organization in the world... They got their own offices, presidency, and board that reaches down to the smallest unit in the Church everywhere in the world. Men may hold the priesthood, but in this Church, the man neither walks ahead, nor behind his wife; neither the woman ahead, nor behind; but together side-by-side as co-equals in this life and for all eternity. Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Jordan
Many call it a "cult" because of a lack of what it teaches, and sometimes what they have been falsely told about it. "Cult" simiply refers to a group that is secretive in it's dealings. Such things are only true to those that haven't asked. Those who ask about the teachings of the Church gain knowledge to what they ask, and the title of "cult" so to speak, no longer applies.
