Hi I'm Crystal

I love my family. I enjoy doing crafty things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom, who works a couple days a week outside of my home. I have two daughters and a husband who I love. I enjoy taking pictures of the beautiful creations, especially the mountains. I love to read, and do almost anything crafty that lets me get my hands moving or dirty.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful for the knowledge I have gained by continuing to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I find peace in the knowledge of Eternal Families, knowing that as long as I do the best I can, I will be able to be with my family forever. Not only do we have both the Bible and Book of Mormon to help us find direction and answers, we have a living Prophet and apostles who lead and guide us in this world today. I am grateful to be in a time where I can find the answers I need in life to help me and my family. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet who, at the humble and teachable age of 14, saw Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. Through all the trials and challenges he faced, Joseph was able to Translate the Book of Mormon so we are able to have the second witness of our Savior in our day. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is True. It is here for our betterment. As we strive to live righteously, and do all that we can, we are able to grow and become more like our Heavenly Parents. I look forward to the day when I can see them again. I know that only through the Atonement of our Savior is this even possible, and I am eternally grateful for that Sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the Ward Primary Chorister. I have to admit that I was nervous at first when I received this call, but I do really enjoy it. I have a love for music, and by teaching the Children songs, I am able to share my testimony with them and watch them grow as they learn these songs. Music is so powerful, and to hear these children sing really touches my soul. I also have the opportunity to do what we call Visiting Teaching. I get to make a difference in the lives of some fellow sister church members by visiting with them, serving them if I can, and getting to know them. Quite often, I get to become friends with them, and it is a benefit I am grateful for. I support my husband in his responsibilities as Assistant Scout Master for our ward. Sometimes this is easier than others, but it is great to see him working with those boys and how much fun they all have together. I often find that when life is dragging me down, or I am facing a hard day, I can often find some way to life another's heart by dropping off cookies, giving an older church sister a call to visit, doing a random act of kindness for a friend or neighbor. When I am helping others, I am better able to find happiness and gratitude in my own life.
