Hi I'm Mitchell

I love playing the Saxophone, any sport with a racket, and I'm an air force brat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the 2nd oldest in a family of 6 kids. I love playing tennis, snowboarding, and spending time with my family. Because my Father works for the military (Air Force), we have the opportunity to move every 10 months - 3 years. I've lived in England, Japan, and many other states across America. The change has been a good chance for growth and learning. I also enjoy learning as many instruments as I can get my hands on, from piano to clarinet to saxophone (I still have a goal to learn the cello!) I plan on majoring in either Mechanical Engineering or something to do with graphic design at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member isn't just something I do, it's how I live my life. I cannot think of an aspect of my life that hasn't been blessed because of the church, nor can I imagine where I'd be without it. I feel that the biggest reason to attribute to me being a Mormon is how much it's taught me about what's most important in life. At church we're taught to apply the Savior's teachings into our daily lives, and it really does work. The biggest reason I'm a member of this church is because of the Book of Mormon. I've read it from cover to cover and felt the truthfulness of it. The teachings in the Book of Mormon have changed my life, and I know without a doubt that it is the word of God. The great thing is that anyone can come to know of that same truth, if they're willing to pray to God and ask. I know that God truly is our Father in Heaven and that he loves us, and is willing to answer any sincere prayer.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ in Latter-Day Saints. I'm serving in Taiwan, and absolutely loving the environment, people, and culture. It's such a great experience to be able to share with the people of Taiwan such a wonderful message about our Savior Jesus Christ and how he has called a prophet in these latter days. Because of the deep rooted traditional beliefs of the people here, we start from teaching them about God and his relationship with us. I've come to absolutely love the Taiwanese people through teaching them about our religion. I've seen miracles as people give up destructive habits and behaviors to follow Jesus Christ. I've also seen my own prayers answered as we are guided to find people who are prepared to hear this message.
