Hi I'm Mikey T

I love wakeboarding, I love fourth meal, I play basketball, and I’m a Mormon

About Me

There’s nothing really special about me, I just love having fun and being around friends and family. I have grown up playing basketball all my life. My dad and I would always get up early together and go to the court to shoot some hoops. My dad is my role model and I want to be just like him. I have four brothers and two sisters and we are all best friends. My mom is a miracle maker. I moved away from home for the first time when I went to college but I was living with my brother and sister-in-law so we had a blast. I am an Eagle Scout of BSA and I love being outdoors. Boating, fishing, river rafting, and hiking are so things my family enjoys doing together.

Why I am a Mormon

: I’ve grown up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints all my life and it has really blessed me. My family is a big part of who I am and we all go to church together every Sunday. Sunday night is my favorite time of the week because no one is working and we all get to have quality family time. My two older brothers are my heroes and I always try to do what they do. When they both were 18 years old they decided to go on a church two year service mission. I wanted to be just like them but knew if I were to go on a mission that I would personally need to know that this church is true. When I was in high school I made a commitment to start a personal study of the Book of Mormon. I never doubted the truth of the book but I was leaning on my brother’s testimony. During this study I learned so much about our Savior, Jesus Christ, and His love for us. I felt so happy and found life in more abundance. The day I finished reading the Book of Mormon I knelt down in humble prayer and asked God, our Heavenly Father, if the book was true. As I prayed a feeling of peace came over me and I knew that my prayer had been answered. Today, I know that the Book of Mormon to be the word of God testifying to us that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I also know that if we have questions or problems we can pray to our Father in Heaven in the name of Jesus Christ and we will receive an answer.

How I live my faith

: I live my religion by going to church every Sunday with my family. My father and I also regularly visit friends and neighbors that are also members to share short messages about our beliefs to strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ. I also had the incredible opportunity of going to Taiwan to serve a church two year service mission in Taiwan. I loved sharing this wonderful message to our Taiwanese brothers and sisters. This is the good news of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ has blessed me so much and I know it will bless you.
