Hi I'm Nathan James

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in a small Kansas town. I’m from a big family, I’m a world traveler, I love learning, music and movies, being outdoors, and spending meaningful time doing the things I love with the people I love. : I’m the youngest of 7 children in a family of 5 girls and 2 boys. Grew up in a small All-American town where my dad is the local foot and ankle doctor. Spent many years growing up go to all kinds of school, community, and church activities. I’ve traveled the United States with my family in our family car. They’re wonderful memories in which me and my family grew closer and had many adventures together. I did gymnastics and played tennis for many years. Ran track in high school where I pole vaulted and long jumped. I have a passion for foreign languages and culture. While in high school I had the opportunity to travel to many foreign countries. I developed a great love and appreciation for the many incredible things in our world. I attended Brigham Young University for a year studying Physiology and Developmental Biology, and I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint in the Taiwan, Taichung mission speaking Mandarin Chinese language. It has been a wonderful opportunity and I am learning a great deal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that living the gospel brings greater success and happiness than any other way of living. I know that the teachings of the Jesus Christ have been restored in their fullness to the Earth and living by those principles allow us greater happiness now and forever. In my own life I have seen the great blessings that have come to me as a person by living the gospel, and the many ways in which my family has been blessed. When we come to have a personal relationship with a heavenly father who loves us, we can better understand our purpose. Through living the teachings of Jesus Christ we’ll see many blessings and our ability to deal with life’s difficulties increase.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ is one of the defining characteristics of my life. I feel strengthened each and every day through prayer, studying the scriptures, and hearing the words of our living prophets. Church attendance allows me to consistently rededicate myself to becoming more like Christ. By applying the teachings of Jesus Christ in my life I’ve been a happier and a better person.
