Hi I'm Taylor

I’m 20 years old, I love playing baseball, snowboarding, listening to music, and spending time with my family, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and athlete. There are nine people in my family whom I love dearly. I’ve attended a year of college and am now serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Before I left for the mission I worked with disabled people and helped them become more independent. I enjoy making other people’s life better. I’ve spent most of my life out on the ball field. I enjoy playing sports from baseball to football, volleyball to tennis, snowboarding to ping pong. I love being active. I enjoy spending time outdoors in the sun. I love camping, going to the beach and just being with family and friends. I want to play professional baseball when I graduate from college and when that ends I want to become an orthodontist. I love to make people smile and just enjoy being happy. I love working hard and seeing the results of that hard work.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and grew up in the church, but as each of us need to do I have found my personal testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ. I, along with everyone have make mistakes, but I have felt the true cleansing power of the atonement in my life. As I have strived to change, I have felt the Lord’s hand in helping me overcome bad habits, bad feelings, and temptations. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life more than I can explain. Another reason I am a Mormon is that it all just makes sense. There’s nothing complicated about it. We have a living father in Heaven. He has a perfect plan for each of us, His children. Jesus Christ is the center of that plan. Christ came to the earth to atone for my sins and for the sins of the world. Only through Him can we return to live with God again. After Christ’s death people rejected His apostles and started their own churches. The priesthood keys of God were removed from the earth. In the year 1820 a young boy named Joseph Smith wanted to know which of the many churches were true. He knelt in humble prayer and asked God. God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and answered his prayer. God called Joseph Smith to be a prophet and through him restored the keys of the priesthood to help everyone return to God’s presence. Because I know these things to be true, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love working hard to spread the gospel and the message of the Restoration. I study the scriptures daily and love sharing the things I learn with the people that I meet everyday. I enjoy singing hymn and just being able to share the light with everyone I see. Although I am not perfect, through repentance I am trying to do my best to emulate the example of Jesus Christ. Through Daily scripture study and prayer, I can become more like him.
