Hi I'm Jason Peace

I'm 20. Born and raised in England. I'm serving a mission in the Colorado Fort Collins Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I went to school and enjoyed studying Maths and Physical Education. I love to play all kinds of sports. I would play almost any sport, even if I weren't too good at it! What I played/did the most was football, rugby, swimming and then later on taekwondo. From a young age I've always been interested in becoming an accountant later on in life. My family started going to church when I was 7 and I was baptized when I turned 8. I loved going to church to see friends and to go to all the activities when I was younger. When I left school at 16 I decided to go to Sixth Form College. I studied Maths, Physics, Computing, Accounting and Economics during the two years I was there. During this time I started going to Taekwondo but stopped after rupturing my kidney. It was during these years that I grew closer to my Savior and decided I wanted to serve a mission. From the ages of 14-18 I went to early morning seminary where I learned a lot about the Book of Mormon, the Bible and the history of the church. During these 4 years is when started to gain my own testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I then went to church for the spiritual side of things rather than for the fun I was having. I saved up for my mission by working as a salesman. I learned a lot of valuable skills in this time that I could use while on my mission. I am now serving a mission in the Colorado Denver North mission. It's not easy but definitely worth it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found through my own experiences that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church once again restored to this Earth. God loves us as His children and so He wants the very best for us. This includes having a place for us to gather as Saints to uplift, edify and enrich each other. I have found this to be true in the LDS church along with the doctrines taught are truth. These truths were not made known to me by any man or woman but by God Himself through the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost testifies of truth. He did it for me and will do it for anyone who truly seeks the truth. This is a promise given to us by our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith from an early age by attending church on a weekly basis, reading the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father. These are 3 simple things but can make a huge difference if done regularly. As I have read the scriptures and particularly about the life of Jesus Christ I have tried to live my life as He did. He had a perfect love for everyone and served everyone. And so as a missionary I try and do this the best I can. I look for opportunities to serve others so that I can have a greater love for them. Also, as a missionary I dedicate 2 years of my life to serve others and to teach them about Christ and His gospel. Doing all this helps me keeps the commandments that are found in the scriptures, and I do this because of the love that I have for my Heavenly Father. He has given us commandments because He loves us and wants us to be happy. And the way we can show our love and appreciation for Him is to keep His commandments.
