Hi I'm Andrew

I'm from Sycamore Illinois. I'm served a mission in the Utah Ogden mission. I am currently attending BYU and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a ninteen year old boy who is about to serve a mission to the Utah Ogden area. I will be leaving for two years to serve the Lord. I love to play sports such as basketball and soccer. I also enjoy playing frisbee golf in my spare time. I attend Brigham Young University in Provo Utah and will be getting my major in Exercise Science so that I can become a Dentist or Chiropractor. I love analyzing films and good books that use symbolism to describe their main focus. I love my family and look forward to having a family of my own some day soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to become a Mormon first by being born into the church. Both of my parents are members and have always brought me to church and different activities. I have also found out for myself that this church is true and I know that that it's teachings are the word of God and will help direct us. I love the feeling you get when you enter the Lord's church or his Temples. I love the feeling when you pray or read scriptures, its such a strong impression that what you are doing is what the Lord wants you to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church and doing all of the things necessary to be a good member of the church. I also live my faith because I am going to be serving a two year mission to the church where I will be in the service of God and his children. I will be losing myself in the work and will be able to do all I can to bring all unto christ and repentance.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Andrew
There are some people who have certain temptations and addictions more than others. Paul calls these thorns of the flesh. It doesn't matter what the temptation is as long as we don't give in to the temptation. Just as Jesus Christ taught in the parable of the talents, some of us are only given one or two talents to start off with. It's not what we are given but how much we grow with what we are given. People with homosexual tendencies are not sinning unless they act upon their desires just as a man isn't sinning unless he succumbs to an inappropriate relationship outside of marriage. These can be overcome and is only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
