Hi I'm Dani

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to two active boys that mean the world to me. I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I met my husband while were both in college in Utah. We have been married 7 years, and he's my best friend. We are both active and love anything outdoors. With great weather in Arizona we hike, swim, bike and wake board as often as possible. I love to read, play with my boys at the park, go out to dinner with my girl friends and exercise to stay healthy. I especially love to spend the summers visiting my extended family in Montana and Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that I am a Daughter Of God. My Heavenly Father loves me and knows me by name. I know that Jesus died on the cross so that I could come to earth, receive a body, and have an Eternal Family. That is the Plan of Salvation that I'm thankful for. I feel my Saviors love for me when I look into my sons' eyes, or when I am sitting in church singing a hymn. I also feel my Saviors love when I make good choices for our little family. My life certainly isn't perfect and definitely hasn't gone exactly as I have planned. But I know that if I trust in the Lord, I can handle anything. I had a miscarriage a few years ago, and it was the hardest thing I've been through. I had two choices; turn away from the Lord or turn TO the Lord. I chose to turn to the Lord and have Faith that I would find happiness again.

How I live my faith

My parents, Grandparents , Uncles, cousins, etc are all Mormon. I went to church with them because I felt comfortable there. But when I was a teenager I needed to gain my own Testimony of the Savior, like all kids do. I spent some time finding my own personal relationship with Heavenly Father. I discovered that He loved me unconditionally. I love being Mormon. I love teaching my sons about the blessings of making good choices. Because I believe that I am a Daughter of God, I know that I have divine qualities. I feel that the best roll for me in our family is at home with my young kids as they grow. I am lucky that my husband's job makes this possible, as I know it not always can be. I love spending the days loving my boys, teaching them to walk, talk and climb the monkey bars. My husband and I spend time in our church "callings" which are kind of volunteer jobs. We both work with the youth. When I speak to young girls, ages 12-18 in our church, I try to teach them to dress "modestly." I want them to get the attention of deserving boys through their personality, not the wrong kind of attention that short skirts can bring. We hope that our children will include the Lord in all their decisions. We hope they will pray daily and create a relationship with their Heavenly Father, because it will change the course of their lives.

What is faith?

Faith is letting go of the control of your life, and placing it in our Heavenly Father's hands. I have had heartbreaks, disappointments and let downs. But each time I do, I try to have Faith that there is a bigger picture. The more I do that, the stronger I believe that I would rather have my future in His hands than my own. He knows me better than anyone. And He knows that if I lean on Him and my husband, that I will be stronger. Show more Show less
