Hi I'm Danny

I’m a Dreamer, I’m a Soldier, I’m a leader, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. I grew up in Florida with four brothers and an older sister. My family is from Colombia and now lives in South Jordan, Utah. I love basketball and soccer. I speak Spanish and Chinese and love to work hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember in 2005 my family moved to Ocoee, Florida. Both my brothers were on a mission and one of them sent me a Book of Mormon. I started reading it whenever I could. It was military size so I kept it in my pocket. The change it helped me make in my actions, behavior, and thought process made the power of the book evident in my life. I could not put it down. I did not want to put it down. It satisfied all the needs of a hungry soul looking for truth and answers. I was filled with new virtue, righteous actions, and determination to do good. I became more benevolent towards God and towards His children. That book changed my life. I know that in the summer of that year, the spirit of God testified to me that it was true. Everything else just clicked.

How I live my faith

My days are empty without the healing dose of daily Book of Mormon study. I hum hymns as I bike, work, and play to keep the Holy Ghost in my heart and feel at peace. I find ways to change myself based on the perfect example of our savior and look for ways to use his priesthood for the benefit of others. I go to church early and usually leave late. I attend the temple weekly and go out with missionaries as often as possible. I surround myself with the best of influences that will help me to strive to do better. I try to let the gospel light shine through my eyes and help lift others.
