Hi I'm Emily

I am a student attending BYU-Idaho. I am majoring in Child Development. I am engaged to be married. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a senior in my last semester at Brigham Young University-Idaho. More than anything, I want to be a wife and a mother. I have three sister and no brothers. I am currently engaged to the love of my life and we intend to be married in the Bountiful temple in July. I am very busy with lots of wedding plans. It's intimidating and fun!

Why I am a Mormon

Today I am a Mormon in large part because of the influence of my parents and other great leaders in my life. However, I also have grown a lot since coming out to college. I have learned that family is the most important aspect of society. If families are strong and if children can grow up in households with a mother and a father who are faithful to each other and who love their children, then this world will hold strong. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church) is centered around families. That has always been important for me and has always been central to my personal beliefs.

How I live my faith

Well, I certainly do not live my faith perfectly. I do my best, but no one is perfect. One thing in particular that I am working on is learning how to share my beliefs with those around me whether or not they share the same beliefs that I do. I tend to be more shy than outgoing. I am working on being less afraid of such things such as talking to strangers (especially over the phone!) or people that I only kind'a sort'a know. I know that Christ can help me overcome even such a small (and sometimes seemingly meaningless) challenge as this.
